What’s been happening:

My degree in Coal Petrography was VERY useful for many years. I was a geologist working in coal, tar sands, oil shales (during the "old" alternative fuels push), then I worked in oil & gas - mainly focused on heavy oil development in California. Most of my time was with Mobil Oil and I retired from Aera Energy, a merger of Mobil (now Exxon-Mobil) and Shell upstream operations in California. For the past ten years, I've been a professional artist - painting, teaching, and owning a gallery in California until we moved to Kansas 2 years ago. Now my pain focus is painting and teaching. We love to travel and enjoy family and grandchildren. You can see more at www.claudiatrue.com.
